Stage 92

Contains: Rear shelf, Rear shelf handles (2), Cover plate, Pin, Spring and various screws.

Push the handles into the holes in the rear shelf. Now place the rear shelf into the inside of the rear of the body aligning the holes at the sides. Next secure the shelf to the body with two BM screws.

Slide the spring onto the pin and insert the two parts into the groove on the right side of the body then place the plate over the spring and pin, and secure it in place with two BM screws.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 93

Contains: Engine cover, Frame, Engine cover lock, Washer, Engine cover ventilation mesh, Engine cover ventilation grid and various screws.

Insert the engine compartment cover lock into the central hole in the frame. Now turn the frame over then place the washer into the central hole and tighten an OP screw through it, securing the lock on the other side.

Place the frame onto the engine cover making sure that the five holes in the two pieces are aligned. Then secure the two parts with five QM screws. Now place the engine cover ventilation mesh into the recess in the engine cover then place the grille over the mesh. Make sure you have it in the correct orientation – the 2.7 badge should be positioned on the right-hand side.

Secure the grille from the inside using two IP screws.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 94

Contains: Left engine cover hinge, Right engine cover hinge, Strut, Hinge fixing plate and various screws.

Retrieve the engine cover and place the strut along the front edge on the underside of the cover, as shown. Secure the strut with two AM and two AP screws.

Place the right engine cover hinge marked R, onto the posts on the right-hand side of the cover then secure it there with a BM screw. Now fit the left engine cover hinge to the left side of the cover in the same way as the right, securing with a BM screw.

Insert the ends of the hinges into the opening in the rear of the body then lower the cover into position. Now turn the body over holding the engine cover in place. Fit the hinge fixing plate over the ends of the hinges which should be positioned in between the raised tabs then use two PM screws to secure the hinge fixing plate in position.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Contains: Rear panel, Rear number plate, Rear bumper L, Rear bumper R and Various screws.

Insert the posts on the inside of the right rear bumper marked with an R, into the corresponding holes in the rear panel and secure the bumper with an IM screw. Now fit the left rear bumper marked with an L, to the rear panel in the same way as the right then secure with an IM screw.

Insert the two pins on the reverse of the number plate into the two holes in the rear panel the secure the number plate from inside the rear panel with two FM screws.

Insert the two posts on the rear panel into the indicated holes in the body and secure the rear panel to the body with two IM screws.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Contains: Left rear bumper, Left rear light housing, Left rear light lens and various screws.

Place the left rear light lens onto the left rear light housing aligning the holes of both parts and secure the lens to the housing with two BP screws.

Place the left rear light assembly onto the left rear of the body aligning the hole in the housing tab with the indicated hole, as shown. Now secure with a KM screw.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 97

Contains: Right rear bumper, Right rear light housing, Right rear light lens, Oil reservoir 1, Oil reservoir 2, Plug, Tabs (3), Tape (6) and various screws.

Secure the two parts of the oil reservoir with a GP screw. Then insert the plug into the indicated hole in the oil reservoir.

Secure the right rear light lens to the right rear light housing with two BP screws. Then secure the right rear light to the right rear of the body with a KM screw. Now locate the red + black rear light cable and disconnect it from the circuit board.

Run the rear light cable from the front of the body to the rear light holes. Use the three tabs and three AM screws to secure the cable to the inside of the body. Then use three pieces of tape to fix the cable along the rear panel. Now place the chassis and body side by side and connect the loose ends of any of the cables, matching the colours as with the others.

Once all the cables are connected, lower the body onto the chassis. Lower the rear into place first, then make sure to move any cables out of the way when you lower the front. Opening the doors will help to fit the body onto the chassis, ensuring the dashboard fits flush.

Once the body and chassis are in place, secure them together with eight CM screws from the underside of the vehicle. Now remove the exhaust silencer from the exhaust pipe and place the left rear bumper onto to underside of the body then secure the bumper with two CM and two HP screws.

Now place the right rear bumper onto the underside of the body and secure with two CM and two HP screws.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 98

Contains: Windscreen, Mirror, Mirror housing, Mirror arm, Mirror joint, Mirror support, Tape A (16), Tape B (2) and various screws.

Secure the mirror support and the mirror arm with a BP screw now insert the end of the mirror arm into the hole in the centre of the mirror housing. Then place the mirror joint into the other side of the hole and secure the parts with a BP screw.

Remove the protective backing from the rear of the mirror and fix the mirror into the mirror housing and hold it there for a few seconds to secure it. Then remove the protective cover from the front of the mirror.

Locate tape A and peel off one piece and apply it to the mirror support now remove the protective backing from the tape. Then fix the mirror support to the black square on the windshield. Hold it in place for a few seconds to secure it.

Apply ten strips of tape B around the opening in the body for the windscreen, as shown. Then remove the protective backing from the strips. Now place the windscreen into the opening in the body. Gently press into place.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 99

Contains: Rear window, Tape A (8), Tape B (2)

Peel off eight strips of tape A and apply them around the opening in the body for the rear window. Remove the backing from the strips when you are ready to fit the rear window. Then place the rear window into the opening in the body and gently press it into place.

Apply tape B centred just above the rear window.

Retrieve the oil reservoir from Stage 97 and place it on the inside of the right rear bumper. Insert the pipe into the hole in the oil reservoir and use two MM screws to secure the reservoir.

Open the left door and align the hole at the end of the seatbelt with the hole in the side of the seat. Now secure it in place with an FP screw. Repeat this with the right seatbelt.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Contains: Right wiper, Left wiper, Windscreen washer nozzles (2) and Boot mat

Insert the left wiper into the indicated hole in the body below the windscreen. Now insert the right wiper into the indicated hole.

Insert the two windscreen washer nozzles into the holes next to the wipers.

Finally, open the boot lid and fit the boot mat.

This completes the Official Build of the ModelSpace 1:8 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7., hope you enjoy your build as much as I have!
