Greetings...I've just started building my E-type and notice that some parts can be painted for added authenticity.
Can anyone recommend the best type or brand of paint for this model?
Also, a part that is supposed to snap onto another part doesn't stay fixed on and will need glueing on.
What's the best glue to use that won't attack the plastic?

The plastics used are a very hard ABS kind and normal polystyrene cement doesn't work very well.
Good old Cyano (Superglue) is very good.
Any kind of enamel paints such as Humbrol work well.
For larger parts, I use Halfords rattle cans.
You can even get the genuine Jaguar body colour from them if you want to paint the underside of the model which comes as black components.

Many thanks Roy...I was a bit wary of using superglue but I'll give it a shot. Hopefully there won't be too many parts that don't snap together as they should,

There's virtually nothing needing any glue.
The parts all either screw together or are a firm push-fit.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I needed to glue the horn button to the steering wheel. Despite it being meant to be a push fit it just wouldn't take so I had to glue it in place. Hopefully there won't be more.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your build as for paint any good acrylics will do the job, Vallejo arcylics are designed for being brush painted  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I started the build yesterday and have a few parts assembled so far. I've identified the parts to paint so I'll do those in one hit then have a go at one of the wheels. Still trying to get my head round the difference between the 2 & 3 spoke methods. Here's what I've done so far...
