There are only two in existence, French & British versions, the British version was up for sale not too long ago at a tag of around 30k 'Al' of Al's Hobbies fame is one of the UK's top jet turbine aircraft modellers and compete's around the world with such models.

Truly amazing these things... I would crash with those... I bet the nerves are well shot on the test flight not knowing how it fly's and the reaction of the controls along with what if something fails... Chris.. There was a TV series about the building of the C17, dont know if it was that one but was about that size. The program was called something like Mega Model Builder. The second series was about making a huge rc ship, an amphibious assault ship cant remember the name Regards Bob Builds in progress
1/12 Spitfire (Deagostini) 1/8 McLaren (Deagostini) 1/16 Stuka (Hatchete) 1/16 Zero (Deagostini)

I remember that show. It was called Supermodels and they build a 1/48 scale model of HMS Fearless in series 1, and a 1/9 scale model of a C17 in series 2. If i remember right, they made the ship so they could launch a small landing from the rear by lowering the stern and opening the tail section. As an added treat, they made a small R/C tank in the landing craft which would roll off it when it reached land. I smile because i have NO IDEA whats going on :)
