I appreciate that you admins may not know the answer to this question, but I thought it general enough to warrant a topic to ask:

Given the number of issues out-of-stock that we subscribers have encountered, when those issues are in stock in the DeAgostini shop, is it possible for us to buy them from the shop, and then inform you of our next issue requirements...?

Basically, I need issues 46, 48, and 61 to take me all the way up issue 70: those three issues, and the ones from 71-85, are all up in the shop. So I'm wondering, if I buy all those issues from the shop, could I then continue my subscription from issue 86 onwards?

There was a delay with the delivery of issues 46 and 48 - these were delivered on the 20/08 so they should be with subscribers imminently if you haven't received the issues already.

Issue 61 is unfortunately out of stock, we are waiting for the new stock to come in. Those back issues are on the shop by mistake, we are now taking them down.

could someone please do me a favour.

I am a newsagent subscriber - and in fairness, have had little in the way of problems generally with that. However, after issue 51 and the wonderful job that had been done on the dome, I changed my mind on painting my copy into an Imperial unit.

As I had only painted the first leg, I didn't see that as a major problem. However, the paint I had used will not come off. I managed to get some of the issues replaced - and I only required the issued that have the 'cladding', not the internal structure or sensors, etc.

However, I have finally given up with the newsagent after multiple attempts to order as I still have issues missing preventing me from completing this leg before we will get to attach it. As there has been mention in this thread of being able to choose individual issues to buy, can I please ask someone to post a link? My googlefu is weak in this area, I can only find the page to subscribe.

Thanks.

Issue 61 is unfortunately out of stock, we are waiting for the new stock to come in. Those back issues are on the shop by mistake, we are now taking them down.

So my account page says that on the 25th August, a replacement issue 46 was sent out - the original attempt to deliver it was from the 8th August bundle but although I was charged for the four issues, they only sent three - but I haven't received it still.

It also says that on the 5th September, issues 48, 61, and 71, 72 were sent, so if you reckon 61 is out of stock, does that mean I'm due to get another parcel that has only three issues when I've been charged for four?

As I said in another thread, virtually every single DeAgostini partwork I've ever heard of has exactly these problems throughout; how they're still in business is a miracle.

If you need info of what is happening with your account, you need to discuss this with c/s as the forum does not have access to your account status

I asked C/S about this, while I was reporting another missing issue from my latest bundle (Itsue 76 - once again,DeAg have taken the money for it but not delivered it - a position which is actually illegal in the UK), and they confirmed that actually, skipping ahead is entirely possible and they'd just update my subscription with which issue I wanted next.

Just FYI in case anyone else wants to do it.

I think you'll find that in terms of being a subscription its not actually illegal because you will be supplied everything as part of the subscription. DeAgostini does not operate illegally.

I'm not trying to make this bigger than it is, but the illegality comes from the debiting of a card when you can't send the item you're paying for: if DeAg had charged for the whole model up-front, and stated that it will be delivered in parts, that would be a different matter. But as it is, charging for a bundle of four magazines and sending three, does break the terms of use of debit/credit cards.

As I say, I'm not interested in pursuing this as it's a good faith problem and I don't doubt I'll get the issue at some point in the future, but technically, if DeAg can't see all four magazines out, they are supposed to adjust the fee taken to match.

Then instead of repeating the same in various threads, I suggest that you write to DeAgostini directly, their address is noted on the inside front cover, bottom left-hand corner.

If they keep doing it, I'll keep saying it...
But you're right about cross-posting; I apologise for that, and I'll stick to one thread in future.

Please be aware that the forum is a place for like minded people with an interest in model making to discuss model making. It is not somewhere that is equipped to deal with account, delivery or damaged part matters.

If you have a problem or complaint about subscription, delivery or have received/missing damaged parts, please contact Customer Services. They are paid by DeAgostini ModelSpace to resolve any problems you have.

When you call or email them, please keep a record of who you spoke to and when. C/S contact detail is noted within the magazine, website or delivery note.
If you are not helped, or your problem not resolved by them, you can then message any of the Forum Support Team to investigate further. However, for your own security, do this as a Private Message rather than post onto the forum as you will need to provide account and address details.
However, don't PM any of the Forum Support Team without first contacting Customer Services, otherwise you will be referred back to Customer Services.

The forum is not equipped to deal with customer account, delivery matters

Which will be edited if in future its not in a topic about the subject or being used to hijack a subject - this topic is about "Jumping ahead" rather than legality of supply.
