I know its easy to do because I have done it too, your half way through that spray job with your airbrush when a blob of congealed paint blocks the needle tip so it needs to be cleared. Some airbrushes have the pull spring back feature that can clear this sort of blockage if its small enough but not all so its a strip down. You save your paint from the cup do a full clean that involves removeng the needle from the barrel and as your reassembling disaster strikes as you miss-aligne the needle and the tip gets bent and I bet you havent got a spare. This bit of kit might just help you out it will repair ALL airbrush brands EXCEPT Paasche and DeVilbiss Dagr - Paasche/DeVilbiss users will need the Paasche Model.  A couple of pictures of the tool, it arrives with a few pages of instructions, the tool and a micromesh pad for polishing the tip after rectification. How it works is you have for sets of angled grind stones of various grits that you insert the bent needle into to gring a new straight needle tip. The prosess takes a couple of minutes and then its the tip is polished with the micromesh pad. Works a treat and I now have some rectified spare needles. I dont get it  you can buy 4 or five needles for thst price It would be significantly cheaper and probably quicker to put ithe needle in a lathe and wet stone it then micromesh it. If you dont have a modelling lathe just rub the needle on the same wet stone used for sharpening knife blades, they cost a couple of quid, if your worried abour the angle make a jig from scrap material Looks like a pricy gimmick would rather spend that money on a kit or two! “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”

The average cost of a genuine Iwata replacement needle is around £15 at the moment so yes you could buy 3 for the cost of the tool but you still need to await it to drop though your door maybe a week at best after you damaged your old needle. As for grinding by hand good luck and I bet even with a home made jig the results would be questionable. All the parts for an airbrush are a presision fit, airbrush needles are set at a fine tolerance and angle of point the above tool has its diamond stones set at the precise angles needed to maintain the correct angle to produce a fix that will provide a workable solution.
