BigGrin Nice start and looking good, by the way most plastic/resin kit parts have a release agent that needs to be washed in warm soapy water to remove it before construction begins its the same with etch parts but they have an oil coating that will need the use of a degreaser so the glue and paint will adhere to themCool

Thanks Andy.

Thank you all for looking in and nice comments.

Did a little painting of the cockpit today.
Firstly I went to the nearest Modelshop to me an hours drive to Widnes Models. Wow what a model shop. Got my Vallejo Air paints for this build.
I had to try and decide which colours to buy and colour match as Revell are sooo bad with there colours. They don't give any crossover or you have to mix half the colours to get the right shade.

I highlighted the switches and painted the MFDs. And gave them a light panel wash. Looks ok ish to me.
Excuse the the floor shade its a little light needs a darker shade.

Thanks For looking in guys and your nice comments.

Thanks Nem, will look at those.

I have spent the evening adding wiring and a couple of photo etch parts (lots of filing and shaping) of bad made and fitting bits.

Here are the latest pics.

Thanks for looking in guys and your nice comments Cool

Tonight I painted the screens and the wiring, added a few scratch details that aren't in the kit or PE. Then gave it a dirty wash with some light grey then Tan.

Not done too much over the last few days.

I started by removing one of the hatches on the fuselage to add the Avionics bay. I made it from plasticard.

I then dry fitted the rear fuselage sections and added panel lines that are missing. Also added some location tabs on the inside to get the sides to sit properly. I glued the rear wheel bays in place.

I also added the weights in the front. I got some wheel weights from work and stuck them in place.

I've added the fuel probe to the front section, fit was ok.

I then moved onto the wings and removed the flaps and leading edges ready for the PE.

Looking good. Cool Cool

I used those self adhesive weights for the Antonov build as counter balance and they work a treat. Went into a local tyre shop to buy some and when the chap new what they were for he gave them to me for free. What a nice guy. BigGrin

Keep up the good work.
