Ok, you have an existing R2-D2 model; Version 2 would use 99% of the same parts, so the cost to create Version 2 would be minimal.
The difference?
Version 2 would be engineered to have the leg wheels retract, and have the center leg retract, so that R2 can stand up on his two feet. Other than that, the two models would be the same.
Version 2 would probably sell for more than Version 1; however, there would be enough interest to create such a model, as some enthusiasts would buy one, and some the other.

I dont think it would be that simple.there is not enough room inside the R2 for the leg to retract.Secondly many who have built a full size R2 (I am building one) choose not to have the R2 transition because it is quite unstable during the transition and it often topples over damaging a very expensive droid.
