Nice one Johny!
I found that making a loop of masking tape, flattening it and then laying it flat gives a good surface to hold and paint the fiddly bits. You only need to paint one side of the wheels and they peel off easily when dry.
One for further jobs maybe??

Like I said in my last entry that it should only take me a day or two to put the cannon together...(Yeah, you wished)....almost a week later...drunk on super glue fumes and here is the result..The only thing missing is the little wedge that should be under the rear of the cannon barrel...understanding that there might be an issue with barrel clearance in the gun ports.

Now I can get back to the main build and try and complete the gun deck decking issue 46..so it is nose to the grindstone over the weekend?? Happy building shipmates...BigGrin

Great job on those Cannons mate.. They so tedious at times aren't they..

I had my thin superglue out last week and the lid was welded on after a little persuation it came off and glued my fingers to the pliers..I had to sit with them in warm water for 10mins.lol...

I have not been doing much to my build this week so far. As many of us would say? It is not a race...So, to date, I have completed the decking and the filling of gaps in the upper gun deck between frames 16 - 21. Then I set about cutting and fitting the support beams for the dummy guns. I attached masking tape to the deck around the ribs where the gun ports were and painted them black, and I painted the support beams black as per instructions...When the paint dries (which will be tomorrow)I will glue and pin the support beams into place, thus completing issue 47...
Blink

However, Issue 47 looks interesting and requires lining the bulwarks and making the bitts..looks like some really close work with the craft knife? Lets see how many fingers I have left afterwards???...Oh, fun, fun, fun...
