Hi All, Time for lighting the gun deck. I painted the underside of the Vera board matt black. Its not that clear in the photos, but I marked tracks red & black with permanent markers just to help with keeping track of the polarity. Then glued it in place with superglue. I soldered in resistors. My standard is to solder the resistor to the (+) track, but it doesn’t really matter. After that, I assembled & fitted lanterns. I am not going to repeat my assembly of the LED’s again, as I have documented this earlier in my build. See my earlier posts of the lower deck. Hi All, Disjointed update today, jumping around a little. Fitted parts 99 & 100 form issues 31 & 32. Loosely fitted the upper deck to check the lighting. Looks like the lighting is even and there is no need for more lanterns. Fitted the barrels and crates made earlier. This concludes Issue 60!!! Half way. Looking at the deck, it still seems pretty empty. I bought 3 extras of Issues 119. There are loads of extra barrels and buckets. I also had some extras that I cast for the lower deck. Primed them with etch primer, base coat Tamiya XF 64 Red Brown and highlighted with XF 52 Flat Earth. I will let them dry properly before I apply their washes. Between coats I started planking the main deck. I’m using the coffee stirrers again. The main reason is to maintain the uniformity of the two decks bellow.
