Hi guys - I've got a problem with my R2D2. It wont start up . On power up it moves forward slightly but that's it. LED on front is RED and head does not move. Batteries are fully charged, in the correct way and after initialisation there is 12.5V on the main output, before initialisation 0V (black plug). Possibly related it does not sense that it is being charged, charger does charge the batteries but the indicator LED just stays red. I've checked all the wiring and cant see any missing, in the wrong ports or inserted incorrectly. Help!!

forum admins: i posted a thread asking if the guide can get a list of the r2 init steps to help us work out what issues we have.
but so far no reply on that.
the trouble shooting post is where it goes but i was not able to post on that topic i guess it's locked.
if we know the order and we see some things happen and then it stops then we can compare that to the list and narrow down what the fault might be. for example left leg then right leg or right leg then left leg ??

No response to it because at the moment we are concentrating on resolving individual problems as being the priority to resolve. That’s not to say it won’t be done, just that there are other priorities right now.

Hi Peter can you check with a test meter [if you have one]if you are getting power from the battery box by testing the power lead from the battery box. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I'm suspecting my batteries as they have a low continuous discharge rate if not them then it's the MCU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do the test with the batterys in the battery box but taken out of R2 so your testing the contacts that go into R2'S black box. What i'm not sure of is when I check the batteries individually they are all about 4.11v each which means there is about 24v going into the battery box but only 12.29v coming out?
