If a person were to plug an hdmi cable into the orange pi and into a tv - would they be able to observe the boot up sequence, and possibly any boot up errors that may reveal the root cause for their r2 problems? One of the two in a separate check topic, has been identified as having incorrect batteries

Do the test with the batterys in the battery box but taken out of R2 so your testing the contacts that go into R2'S black box. Can I ask for some more detail on this battery box test please? I am still waiting on my last 4 issues, but have my battery box & a set of 18650's Samsung 30Q Button Top Unprotected Nominal 3.6v Capacity 3000mAh Max continuous Drain 15a Purchased from 18650.UK The question is, can I test these in the battery box BEFORE the battery pack is initialised in R2 (charger plug-in for a few seconds)? Or must I complete the battery pack initialisation first? Just want to know if I can pre-test my batteries Also, do I test the R/B on the small white plug or R/B on the larger black plug? Thanks Well spin my nipple-nuts & send me to AlaskaCurrent Builds:McLaren MP4-23Finished007's Aston Martin DB5FinishedMillennium FalconR2-D2BTTF Delorean (Maybe)

You will not be able to test your batterys in the box until the set up safety procedure is completed in issue 100 where you use the suplied charger to triger the battery box on in R2 before his first start up. After the initial start up you can test the battery box by putting a test meter across the end terminals of the battery box wire. To do a pre check on the battery box inspect that the batterys you have have full contact at both ends making sure the springs are central and that good contact is made at the button end. Can I also add in future instead of posting in someone elses help thread that you post any questions you may have in a separate thread of your own. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

PeterP can you please start your own thread with your problem from here on to separate the two builds and prevent confusion. Also PeterP can you start by posting the full spec that should be available from the vendor of your battery on your new thread.
Thanks
Andy How do I do that? I didn't subscribe but purchased via my newsagent. Steve you can call C/S and order issues 99 that's what i did and i'm not a subscriber

Andy Hi Andy - part finally arrived, fitted and I got it working. I had to manually turn the head until it had hit both stops and then realign the head again before the head finally turned on power up. It was 3/4 turn out on the motor. The only problem I see now is the head turns far too fast and hits the end stops hard on power on and also trying to control it from the app?
