Pod landing pads are now ready to fit and I have started with one of the pods ready for lighting. The main pod bay is well under way, now sorting out the lighting for the consoles. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Yes indeed, some skilled work going into this build and I'm looking forward to seeing it finished with the lights all working.
Well done Daran.

Thank you Kev and Carl for your comments. On with the pod bay! Wires have been added to the pod landing pad and the pod has had a coat of black for light blocking. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Coming on great there Nem! I can remember from the film how everything appeared so pristine and clean, not like the 'used and abused' effects in Star Wars! You've done a great job of replicating that finish in the pod bay - keeping everything clean and white on a model is much harder than weathering! Lovely job! Robin. Quick mock up of the pod bay. Not much more to do to the main bay now, then its time to crack on with the lighting. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

The interior console lighting is finished, just the suits and rack to complete and the main pod bay is done all except the centre pod launch pad which is also nearly finished. Nemesis attached the following image(s):

Thank you for looking in and your comment Carl. Well I think I have found my way of detailing the main ship subtly! . I the movie the ship was plain white and they used really bright lighting to show details with shadows. I have not got room or the sunglasses for that so I used a black wash followed by a misting of Tamiya flat white and then when dried a dry brush with gloss white. It still looks white but the detail pops a bit more without looking dirty.Nemesis attached the following image(s):
