Have inserted batteries. Powers up OK. However, it does not move when in patrol mode, including rotation of head. Any suggestions? No troubleshooting guide available. Thanks.

It sounds like R2 is not going through his start-up stage.

What is the spec of your batteries or can you provide a link to your battery purchase?

Can you confirm you have followed the troubleshooting guide here

https://forum.model-space.co.uk/...aspx?g=posts&t=30247

Have you plugged in the mains adapter into R2-D2 and plug the other end into the mains and turn it on. Leave it for a couple of seconds, then turn off and unplug both ends. (This is a protection procedure to activate the battery, and without doing this, R2-D2 won’t turn on.)

Yes. It turns on. Get red light at front, green at rear, blue level indicator, beeps but nothing else. Press buttons, arms work, light sabre works but no patrol mode.

In that case its possibly a wiring problem. Can you double check the wire labelling and correct placement etc
