Hey, I am having the same fault a few people are having. All finished, batteries charged, initialized. Started up, jumps forward, dome doesn't spin. Red light. I've had it open and checked my connections, took hours!! Ive had the batteries out and checked their charge. These are the batteries I am using: https://18650.uk/product/samsung-30q-button-top
Really frustrating after 2 years and lots of money spent. Hopefully someone can find a solution soon

Seems a common problem, I did a strip and rebuild tonight as I showed you on Facebook earlier, im deflated by the whole situation, which seems to already be known by the forum admins

Batterys look good as many have used them without problem. Can I ask you to check all the labels to the cables are correctly placed. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

make sure all the plugs are fully pressed into the sockets. i saw one user mention that simply 1 of the plugs was a tiny bit loose, pressed it in more and it worked. maybe some tweezers could help to ensure they are fully pressed in - some sockets sit quite deep into the sockets. Building: Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Ford GT40, Gone in 60 seconds Eleanor mustang, Shelby Cobra Complete: R2D2, Red Bull RB7 RC, Battleship Bismarck, Shelby GT500 'super snake'

Hate to say it but the common factor so far has been batteries not as per the spec or labelling/wiring. But we will endeavour to help identify and resolve your problems. But please don’t forget that we cannot see the assembly and a case of working in the dark so to speak and having to go through a basic check process to start with., some problems may sound similar but the cause may not be the same.

I've posted a video showing it working, but not working properly after reconnecting the power, I've done a strip and recharge, checked labels (1 fell off while I was) reconnected everything and its still the same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MNckTZUOJ4
and stripped down https://www.youtube.com/...BSrYJbryaeT_HQdkP_YfgW54

The common factor in this is the MCU after checking all the wiring of course, this could be a quality control issues with the MCU, people seem to be getting the same problem weather they used protected or unprotected batteries if changing the MCU doesn't fix the problem the next thing is the Orange Pi microcomputer in the dome which is static sensitive and can be damaged easily, of course it may be worth mentioning there could be a dodgy cable and buzzing them out may reveal a bad one or more!!

In actual fact, the biggest factor so far is incorrectly labelled wires, incorrectly plugged wires and plugs not properly fitted.

It's really frustrating. Checking all the connections was a massive job. Replacing the MCU will be a massive job, and I feel like the more I disconnect and reconnect all these cables the more likely they are to get damaged. Feeling so deflated

Feeling so deflated Yes you quite right the wires are very easily damaged so care must be taken when repeatedly removing and inserting

Yes but i did say after checking the wires first We have some that have checked a number of times then discover such, more often than not its one of these problems

Update. I can connect r2d2 to the app via WiFi, if I put it in video mode I see the live feed however none of the controls work. He whistles every time I press something but doesn't move. The app does say his battery level is 0% but I've had them out and they all read FUL on the charger. Tried the battery initialization too many times to count. I've also ordered a new MCU from deag. Hope this fixes him :(
