Pack 8 contains parts for stages 28-31


Stage 28

Contents: Switch plate, Oil sump drain,Switch,Long gearshift bracket,Short gearshift bracket,Screw type R

Locate the circled hole in the side of the engine, and insert the long gearshift bracket into it.Place the short gearshift bracket onto the end of the long bracket, on the inside of the engine wall. The other end of the short bracket should rest on the switch. Once the two brackets are in position, insert screw R into the indicated hole in the long bracket andgently tighten the screw into place, ensuring that the parts stay in position as shown.Insert the switch into the switch plate.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 29

Contents: Oil sump,Lenses x 2,Pinion,Screws J ,Screws F,Washers

Place the oil sump drain onto the oil sump, turning the oil sump over, hold the drain in position, and place the switch plate onto the posts and secure it there with a type J screw.Retrieve the engine and place the oil sump onto the bottom of it, aligning the hole in the tab with the hole in the engine.Secure the sump with a type J screw, then place one of the lenses into the hole in the side of the sump. Use a clear-drying glue to secure the lens if necessary.Secure the sump on the other side of the engine with another type J screw, and fit the second lens. Again use a clear drying glue if necessary.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 30

Contents: Cover,Oil window,Bolt head,Plastic bolts x 2,Transparent lens

Place the lens and the bolt head into the indicated holes in the oil window using clear-drying glue to secure the parts if necessary.Insert the pins on the reverse of the oil window into the indicated holes in the side of the engine and press the window into place.Locating the slot on the rear of the cylinder block,press the cover into place, it will only fit in one way.Insert the two plastic bolts into the holes below the cover.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 31

Contents: Clutch case,Bolt head,Coupling plate,Tube,Screws B

Push one end of the tube onto the valve projecting from the plate.Now prepare the clutch case, the bolt head and the coupling plate. The bolt head fits into the larger hole, and the two smaller holes circled blue will take the coupling plate pins.Insert the bolt head into the hole,securing it with glue if necessary.Press the coupling plate into place on the clutch case.Place the clutch case onto the side of the engine, aligning the corresponding holes and using a type B screw to secure it to the engine.

Stage complete, carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.
