Finally got around to using a multimeter on the adaptor. Am getting 9.5V out , but one thing I thought was unusual, the outer contact is the positive and the center is the negative. Is that correct? I thought on most male plugs the center was positive and the outer was negative.

Discovered why my DeAgostini supplied adapter was not working, They sent one with the polarities reversed. So anyone who's adapter is not working, look on the block for the polarity symbol. Looks like this:
O-(o-O (sorry can't do pics)
There will be a "+" and "-" symbol in the two outer circles. The Falcon requires the "+" in the middle which would be the right side of my image. The supplied one has it the other way. Went on Amazon, bought one with the correct polarity, plugged it in and it works perfectly.
