Hi all,

I am haveing real problems with the light sabre tube.

Basically is will not work when connected to the main body of R2 it works when connected to the test board.

I have tried the following:

Took all wires out of both main boards and retried my own way as the “official” way is a complete mess!

Light sabre still not working.

Have taken the head off and checked all connections and all seems fine.

Reconnected working a number of times ensuring they are seated correctly and correct way round.

Head removed and connected to main unit while head used screwdriver to activate head sensor to:complete startup process tried again still not working.

Please see attached videos and photos.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you removed the board and checked underneath it.

Resize your pics to 600 x 450 pixels and they will show on the forum. Video's need to be put on Youtube and a link to the vid placed on the forum.

Hi,

When impress the button on the front R2 will beep as with the arms in and out button so think it’s working but no motor movement.

Hmmm, actually seemed to of got mine working by fiddling with the little silver motor on the side of the lightsabre tube. Hope that works for you. Hope it lasts too!

UPDATE:

I have looked at the cable going from the buttons to main pcb and they look ok.

When the button is pressed R2 makes a sound indicating the button press and the arms work ok.

I have removed the cable going from the main pcb to the head and did a continuity test with a multimeter and all are ok.

Does anyone know how to check if the signal from the button press is goi;go to the PCB in the head where the lightsabre motor plugs in?

I have very little knowledge on testing electronics so any help would be appreciated.
