I have bright pink wraps on my batteries but as far as I can tell both ends of the batteries are touching the contacts in the battery box? Were yours the Samsung branded ones? Just to be clear, mine were rebranded Samsungs with additional wraps over the standard pink Samsung ones, the pink wraps are part of the original cell and shouldn’t be removed or you are playing with fire. I work in wireless radiocommunications and we use lithium batteries in a daily basis so I am comfortable with doing what I did. Don’t attempt to do so, I was using it as an example as even the slightest gap can be the fault you’ve expoerenced.

Ok so short of removing the plastic (which I'm being told is a terrible idea) do you have any tips on how i can improve the positive connection? You said you had the same issue as me and it solved it?

The best way to check if the batterys are making full contact in the box is to try and borrow a multimeter and test the plug contacts, if it tests at just over 12 volts all the batterys are seated correctly and we can start to try and solve any other issues after that. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
