Just noticed a blue light in one foot, should there be one in both? Is it a status light? R2D2 seems to be working fine,if only a bit deaf, doesn't seem to like voice commands and I haven't noticed any malfunctions apart from nearly diving down a step, apparently dark surfaces aren't perfect for his sensors.

The blue lights come frome an led attached the circiut board on the end of the foot motors . Your light may have just failed at some point, the motor should work fine without the LED working.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

It’s not one we’re likely to get an answer on.

Everything else is fine, so I guess it's something we can do without. I'm building a second one, just waiting on last 3 issues, so I'll be able to compare the behavior of both.

A simple fix is to add some black insulating tape to the inside of the foot.

It only take a couple of minutes, undo the four screws and add three strips of tape to the bottom half of the foot piece you removed and a piece along the back and hay presto the blue light doesn't show.
