Build complete but I have a couple of issues Options

Hi all,

I have now finished my R2-D2 build and although most things seem to be working I can’t seem to get any voice recognition to work, I would suspect this might be a faulty microphone but I am open to suggestions. Having checked all cables and connections I can’t see any issues there.

I also have something I think is wrong when using the “joypad” in the iOS app for movement. When driving forward the head turns left and right continuously, which is both annoying and unrealistic. Is this an app bug, a fault, something I have done or by design and something that can be improved via firmware or app changes?

Other than these fairly minor points the finished R2 looks and sounds absolutely amazing (volume control would be good though). Anyone yet to finish will be very happy, I already have several “jealous” friends :-)

Nice to hear your up and running and are enjoying your R2.

Try the voice commands in a room with no background noise going on, if still no joy then reorder a new mic from C/S.

I will pass this back to the R2 App developer for comment, though we won’t hear anything until after the Xmas/New Year break on the 2nd Jan.
