Hi all, well we have come to the end. A few odd thoughts: You know how it is when you take something apart and put it back together again and you are left with a few spare screws, you cant help thinking where the hell do they belong ? So why are there so many screws left over after this build !! What difference does it make what make of batteries are used, X volts from a battery pack is X volts, regardless of where it comes from ? Why after spending so much money on this build are there soooo many problems with getting it to work correctly for so many builders. Now the final question I am having real problems in answering. I have a brand spanking new 200 quid airbrush but for the life of me I cant decide whether to to do the looks like it does in the film or leave it all clean and new looking. Ahhh decisions, decisions

The screws are simply that spare screws you are preovided with an extra screw just in case you lost one. The make of battery is your choice but they need to be fit to meet the power needs of R2. Some batterys available are only good for torches. There are many out there that have had no problems with start up but a small few have unfortunatly had assembly and batterys issues. The airbrush is again your choice but try it out on somethuing scrap 1st so you can decide how you want him to look. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi with regards to the weathering, as Andy has said the choice is yours, but be mindful that if you use an airbrush, cover up the sensors first as it may effect its opporation should they get paint on them. You could always try out the weathering kit here. https://www.model-space.com/gb/r2-d2-weathering-set.htmlWhat ever you do, I’m sure he looks fab. Have a great Christmas.
