Hi, I have just completed issue 100 upto fitting the batteries (still charging them!). I think the gap between the dome and body is too large though. The build says it should be no more than 2.5mm however mine is closer to 5mm and appears to be larger at the back. Where should I start in trying to make the gap smaller?

Have you made sure the slots in the lower spindle line up with the four tabs on the dome. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

As picture attached. They are lined up but don't seem to locate all the way, should there be a slight gap there?

I've checked the screws are fully fitted and the spindle is located correctly. The square peg doesn't look to fit up to the base. Should this be flush?

Could you recheck please by dissasembling the head and body mounts and reassemble the parts exactly as per the instructions. Look out for anything that could prevent a close fit of the parts. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I had a close look and couldn't see anything that wasn't flush, and re-read the instructions and wouldn't be able to assemble the parts any other way than I already have. I have looked at some videos of other builds and the gap seems to be present on those builds as well. I have left the gap as it is, the little fella powers on and all the functions work as they should. Thanks for answering.
