Stage 18 is done. I was pleasantly surprised how well the mast and elm tree pumps fit. I didn't have to do any extra sanding. I couldn't find yellow ochre but found that Testors flat yellow seemed to match the pictures well. I used Tamiya semi gloss black on the barrels. DonB attached the following image(s):

Stage 19 fini8shed. Not sure what happened but I did not have enough 0.15mm thread to do the cannons so I had to buy some. Well the cannons are now done and displayed on my new cutting mat (thanks Santa). DonB attached the following image(s):

Stage 20 complete. This one was trouble. I was putting together the elm tree pump and found that the brass nail would not fit so, following the instructions, I got out my .7mm drill and tried to drill out the holes. Well the whole head exploded! My recommendations for anyone trying this kit is to not use the nail just glue the pump handle in place. The rigging for the guns was "fun". I have a pair of magnifying glasses that really helped. So did sitting back and taking lots of breaks. I am not the world's most patient guy but this model is sure helping with that.
