I have just assisted with the final assembly of a second unit.
Everything worked as expected but he was making continual random movements. Something that my first unit did not do. My unit has a faulty mic and I have disconnected it.
We have disconnected the mic on this second unit and all the random stuff has ceased.
I'm pretty sure that the voice control is picking up random conversation and causing all the reported randomness.
It was far worse when several people were all talking at once.
Something to consider if your artoo is wandering about too much.

Ambient background noise can be a cause of this

Seems the App needs a means of muting the Mic as it can already mute the R2 sounds.
Or a code update to stop background noise being a problem. I work on some Machine Learning systems and ignoring background, like Alexa, isn't all that complicated. That said a mute may be better. Once the thing actually works plugging and unplugging the Mic (and the risk of static damage to the Orange Pi) feels a bit too much of a workaround for a product this expensive.

I noticed that the Mic and housing was all very loose and rattling,I wonder if this is adding to the problem. I just added some electrical tape which has packed it out just enough to stop any movement.
