Hi,

I think this may have been on another post but i can't seem to find it again so starting a new one.

My R2 fails to start up altogether. I have checked the battery pack with a multimeter as suggested on other posts and the reading is good.

The only signs of life i get is if i push and hold the power button on the front, the lcd screen lights up and the blue lights in the legs turn on.

All the connections seem okay and i have tried it with mains connected and battery pack. I have checked the on off rocker switch and the symptoms above only happen when in the on position.

Is this a main board issue, is there anyway of checking where the power is getting lost?

Any advise would be appreciated.

What batteries are you using?

Do you have a link to where you purchased them from?

I’m getting the exact same symptoms as you. Just two LEDs on his legs and the one lcd panel when I keep hold of the buttons.

You had any joy dismantling yet? I’m going to try dismantle mine today. Multimeter readings look good.

Wonder if I should order a replacement MCU

Can you first provide a link to the batteries you have purchased?

I got these ones, they all test okay on a multimeter. And all charged to full using the supplied charger / tester.
