Pack 3 contains issues/stages 9 - 12
Issue/Stage 9 contains – Engine mount, Plant on detail, Support bracket, Leading-edge support, Screws (x9), Screws (x3).
Fitting the mount.
Take the assembly from stage 8 together with the components with this stage.
Fit the two pins on the back of the small plant-on detail into the holes in the triangular leading-edge support, pressing the detail in place firmly as shown.
Fit the bracket on the back of the leading-edge support to the engine mount as shown and press the left-hand hole on the bracket onto the locating pin, securing the other hole with one of the larger 9 screws supplied.
Align the engine mount with the end of the wing and fit the parts together aligning the mounting holes as shown. Secure the engine mount with 5 screws supplied as shown.
Take the support bracket and align it with the engine mount as shown. Press the support bracket into place, aligning all five fixing holes. Using 2 of the larger screws, secure the bracket as shown. Then drive 2 of the smaller screws into the holes as shown, leaving the remaining hole in the support bracket open which will be secured at a later stage.

Issue/Stage 10 contains – Upper engine casing, Cooling vane, Gyro cone lower half, Gyro cone upper half, Lower shroud, Horizontal vane. Retro-thrust nozzle.
Upper starboard engine Assembling the engine.
Take the engine casing and the retro-thrust nozzle and fit into the mounting posts in the casing. Noting its fixing position, press the parts together firmly until they fit flush.
From the five remaining components, take the two halves of the gyro cones and push the two parts together fitting the pins on the lower half with the sockets in the upper half. Fit the pins on the lower half of the gyro cone into the horizontal vane, making sure the vane is the correct way around. Press the two parts firmly until they fit flush.
Fit the two pins on the lower half of the gyro cone into the matching holes in the lower shroud and press the parts together. Fit the longer pin on the cooling vane into the hole in the upper half of the gyro cone and press firmly in place.
This stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 11 contains – Fission chamber upper half, Fission chamber mounting, Upper engine casing, Plant on details x 9.
Upper starboard engine Assembling the engine.
Take the engine casing and the two parts of the fission chamber. The mounting has two pins that fit into matching holes in the collar on the fission chamber, press these parts together firmly until they fit flush.
Push together the fission chamber to the inside of the engine casing using the mounting post on the chamber.
Take the nine plant on details and use the illustrated picture to identify each of the 9 details and where it fits.
This stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 12 contains – Fission chamber upper half, Allivial damper, Turbo generator body, Fission chamber mounting, Turbo generator rear cone, Hydraulic adjusters (x2), Turbo impeller blades (x2), Turbo impeller.
Upper starboard engine Assembling the engine.
Take the assembly from stage 11, together with the alluvial damper and two hydraulic adjusters. Push fit the alluvial damper to the engine casing using the mounting hole and pin as shown. Align the two pins on one of the hydraulic adjusters with the two holes on the engine casing as shown and press firmly into place. Fit the second hydraulic adjuster on the opposite side, in the same way.
Fit the rear cone to the turbo generator body, lining up the notch with the projecting lug and press the parts firmly together. Push together the turbo impeller onto the turbo generator aligning the two pins as shown. Fit one of the impeller blades onto the rectangular socket in the impeller and the second one on the opposite side.
The fission chamber has a keyhole-shaped mounting that fits the pin on the turbo generator. Fit the turbo generator into place and press the parts firmly together.
Fit the two pins on the fission chamber mounting into the matching holes in the fission chamber.
This stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.
