I strongly suspect that your batterys are not powerfull enough to run R2 the continuous output amps being the culprit here. Many people have had good results using the battery in the link below-

Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Check the spec of the batterys in the link compared to yours, its the continuous discharge rate you should be looking at the ones in the link are-

Discharge: 15A Max Continuous

The ideal max continuos discharge for R2 would be around 8 to 10 amps or higher.

Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

If you scroll down further is also says-

This is not 30A high drain type! This is 2C standard type.

So your batterys are around 3 amp max continuous discharge which is not powerfull enough to run R2.

A high drain battery or the ones I showed you in the link is better suited to the operation of R2.

No I would not recommend buying any batterys from any online auction site as you could be buying fakes. All the genuine Q30 batterys I have seen are 15 amp so your 1st link with 20 amps tells me they may be dodgy.

The links I have provided above are what forum members have used to power there R2's with successful results.
