Hi All, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all who celebrate it. Been off the PC for a while. I drive a mouse for 10 hours a day – so when I’m on leave, the last thing I want to see is a PC!!! Finished painting the bands on the barrels, followed by a black wash. I bought some small pebbles, it looks like something for Bonsai trees from the Crazy Store (Like a Dollar Shop I presume). I filled the holes that I left below the lower deck with them & ran in some watered-down white glue to fix them in place. They will get a dark wash & some dry-brushing later. Glued in the extra barrels & gave them the same treatment as the lower deck - a light dry-brush of GW Longbeard Grey followed by a very light dry-brush using GW Sybarite Green. Hi All, Planking done. It really helps planking the deck off the job. I scribed lines on the underside and then darkened with a 2B pencil. Gave the top some love with the Mouse sander, and then stained with Light Oak. FYI, I haven’t been to careful with the planking, the gaps, warped planks etc are intentional. Once the stain had dried, I gave the deck another light sand to high-light the edges. One everything had dried, I glued the deck in.
