Copper Update....

Owing to the HMS Victory copper tiling set taking longer than we had hoped in development, the official build is going to feature a copper painted hull, rather than it having copper tile's.

However, complete instructions will be made available for everyone who has decided they want to copper tile their HMS Victory hull. These instructions will shortly be added into the articles page, and will be posted in a separate section on the forum.

DeAgostini aim to have the copper tiling sets available in the online shop within the next week – and will post up the information as soon as the stocks are received into the warehouse, an order form will also be included within issue 66.
The cost of the tiling pack is £59.99 including delivery, the tile's are to the scale of the model, each tile measuring approx 14.2 x 3.9mm, and approx 4,500 per set.

Thanks for the update Mr T, been at work all week, so only just seen this, will keep an eye on the shop as issue 66 is a couple of deliverys away at the moment for me, a subscriber! :)
Happy Building, Russ

After all the hype and being set from the start to copper the hull.... Now I think I am just going to paint it! lol

Just curious:

Has anybody already received his copper tile pack yet?
Wondering what they look like and how the instructions are.

Thanks Mr. T,

I have seen that image already, but I was wondering if anybody has already received his tile pack to tell a little more about it.

The thing why I am asking is that DeAg Germany hasn't decided yet whether to offer this tile pack in Germany or not. And DeAg UK does NOT deliver outside the UK.

Leaving me with the question to do them on my own or find a volunteer who could order and ship them over to me.

In any case it would be interesting to know if the instructions are as bulletproof as the regular ones.

We all must remember that Deag, is not ebay or any other internet seller (Cornwall models etc) who have dedicated despatch systems and dedicated complaints systems.

Orders DO arrive eventually but the time it takes Deag to process and despatch is very poor.

For instance I am still waiting for a credit note on returned issues that I sent on the 4th of July despite asking for a confirmation of arrival email.
I will let the forum members know when it arrives
