Well, I know this is not recommended, but as my R2 not functionning (Red light on head and no moves), I wanted to search why. I suspected the MCU. And when I searched on it, I found that two electronics components were missing at there place R67 and Q18.
What do you think ?
Thanks

Hi, I have just inspected my MCU and it also has no components in those slots and my R2 works fine so it cant be those that are the cause of your R2 not working.

Could you also give a link to where you got your batterys from just to check there the correct spec to run R2.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

OK, thanks.

The batteries are UltraFire 18650 3.7V 3000mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries Without Protection.

But the problem is identical with batteries and directly from adaptator (without batteries)

Yes : https://www.ultrafire.com/UltraF...2PCS-p8284?order_id=6144

but as I said that I have the problem without batteries, I don't think the problem is the batteries, no ?

Thanks for the information it may be that it is a battery problem as there have been many reports of Ultrafires not being all they claim and also a lot of fakes out there with that brand name.

IF your getting no power with or without batterys IE by the charging jack that points to a bad conection some where. Double check the under neath on/off switch as this has been known to stick on occasion. Also double check all other connections as you go.

No, I have power.
I have sounds, the WiFi works, but no moves (head, legs, arms, etc.).
I have the blue Led on lower legs.
I heard the "clac clac" from the ultrasonic captors.
I have the sound of movies, but no movies.

When I switch ON (with or without batteries (with only adaptator plugged)), the led on head turn red fix and that's all.

I bought a new one. Delivery tomorrow.
The C/S of Altaya in France is really really bad (and I'm polite).
So I bought it.

OK, so I changed the MCU. A little progress : the head spins, but too fast and bump on the stops.

Yes or at most double check the cables from the head motor to the MCU for correct conection and no bent pins.

OK, it works (for that at least, I need to rebuild all to see).

I don't know in English, but in French, when a new product doesn't work well, we say that we have bought a "lemon".
My build is it a lemon, so ?
