Many thanks for looking in and your nice comments Mark, Al, Daran, Chris and Tom, greatly appreciated as always.

I love 'Aires' products very reliable and always fantastically detailed. Just a shame that they don't produce a resin GR.4 cockpit in 1:48 scale! Sad

Hello all,

Haven't had a lot of modelling time since last week but have managed to get some of the cockpit detail work done. A lot of buttons, levers and panels and other bits have been scratchbuilt from various materials. All of the white buttons and various other parts that you see in the photos are what I've either corrected or added because it was missing detail when checked against my reference photos.

I was going to use the 'Flightpath' PE brass instrument panels to replace the kit panels but they are unusable as they all appear to be way too big by about 30%!! They most certainly aren't to 1:48 scale and this is not the first time that I've used their products only to find that they are too big and don't fit where they should. I will NOT be using their sets again. Because of the ill fitting parts I have dissected some of the PE brass into smaller, closely trimmed sections and used as much as I could that way, but there's an awful lot of expensive upgrade parts that will be wasted!

Some of the computer screen parts were scratchbuilt out of plastic sheet and strip as were the various levers and lamps, etc. Still a lot of detail to build and add to the cockpit but I think it'll all be worth the effort in the final look that should show a very busy cockpit.

Thanks for looking, much appreciated, all comments and criticisms welcomed. ThumpUp

Hello all,

I have done some more work on the cockpit detailing, but I'm not ready to show that just yet. However, I have also been working some more on the jet exhaust assemblies, which I have now finished, as can be seen in the photos below.

Many thanks for looking in on my build, always greatly appreciated. All comments and criticisms welcomed.
