Ok, so when I first attempted to start it up, all I had was the blue light from both leg motors and the long multicolored LED light on the head come on.

After a lot of trial and error, I found that unplugging the dome PCB allowed me to start R2 up.

It would move forward a little, then the head would rotate in both directions. Then the status light would turn red, then blue and flash fast.

Then I tried turning it all off again and plugging the dome PCB back in, and then it went back to the original issue of not starting up at all.

I assume the problem is the dome PCB but I am not 100% sure.

Has anyone else had similar issues or advice before I try and acquire a replacement?

If you can let me know what batteries you’ve got, the spec etc, or a link to where you bought them, so I can take a look and check the ampage, so I can eliminate that possibility.

Thanks
Mark

I'd say those batteries are unsuitable and also question the 9,800mAh figure, which at that figure could well be fakes.

Here is a reputable battery source: https://www.ecoluxbatter...30q-3000mah-15a-battery

At least you have the correct batteries. The next step is to check that you have power output of 12.3v from the battery box.
Do you have or can you borrow a multimeter?

Thanks
Mark

https://www.youtube.com/...vg&feature=youtu.be So, I get blue light from the rear feet and that long LED on the head, that is with the dome PCB connected.

Sadly I don't have access to a multimeter :(

Can you attach a video of the start up sequence please, so I can see exactly what he does when you start him up.

Thanks
Mark

The first is with the dome PCB connected and the second is without.
Thanks again for all your help :)

Can you double check the cables are labelled correctly, in the right connections and no bent pins please. It is strange that the rear back matrix panel comes on as this is only accesssed through the App. I don’t want to suggest a new board until we have fully explored this area first.
As I said before, it is a case of elimination.

Regards
Mark
