Hello,

I am thinking about getting the DC-3 but I before I do, I am wondering if someone already has modified the model so the propellers can be powered by little motors?
Cheers,
Max

It's not something seen as yet and would likely mean the loss of all the amazing engine detail.

I have just taken a look at my DC3 and the official build pictures.

There would certainly be space to get power to the motor but the main issue would be space for the motor. Directly behind the detailed engines is the landing gear which I think would be your first obstruction and as previously stated you may very well have to lose the detailed engines completely as the centre of the engines is a solid casting.

The link below shows pictures of the landing gear when its up and the engine construction that may be useful:

Hi guys,

Thanks for your replies. I do agree, it would be a shame to loose the model engines. I'll see that I get my hands on the kit, maybe I can figure out something that allows me to keep the engine replicas.
Cheers,
Max
