Issue 96 - wiring and propshaft Options

Looking at the build diary I see that issue 96 includes the 'propshaft'. I read on and see that the 'transmission tunnel' is really just a conduit for the mass of wiring from other areas of the model and it totally covers any view of the propshaft (that as far as I can see, doesn't connect to the differential anyway!)

Why has this part been included when it can't be seen and serves no purpose?

I intend to leave mine out of the build as this will leave more room for the wiring...Any one need a spare propshaft?

I've actually used the prop shaft to keep the wires in place, just put in wires first, then prop shaft on top, making sure the wires go in between the 2 posts securing the prop shaft

I also used the prop shaft to hold the wires in place. have a look at my posts.
I thought about removing the miniature plugs and sockets and soldering the wires directly.......I might still do that as then the wires take up minimal space and the prop shaft would be more visible.
