That's not bad at all!  You could probably sacrifice the vacuum part and drill a hole down through the two front 'wings' to feed a long bolt through both the base and worktop. My workbench is a re-cycled kitchen worktop with that 'nobbly' feel to the surface - it doesn't like vacuums trying to stick to it! (Neither does the carpet underneath!) Robin. I have two of these already and find they are good but mainly because they can be moved to any area rather than stuck to one place as with bench mounted type. Do find the suction cup at the bottom is next to useless though so I tend to ignore it... Good bargain....
