Issue 97 complete. I ordered a new bonnet as the original had mysteriously become scratched in the past two years. I only noticed the dodgy overspray on the chrome after completing 96/97. It spent so long upside down.

I'm not sure I could be bothered ordering another bonnet and redoing the parts. I'm trying to clean it up with white spirit at the moment.

I think Roy used a paint pen to redo his chrome strips.

I didn't know a paint pen could approximate chrome.

Thanks for the info SPAL.

Roy - I've had a look back through your build diary and notice you used a Molotow chrome pen. What size nib did you use?

Thanks... Alec

I put masking tape close to the strip and went over it with a 2mm Molotow pen.
Amazing things...

Cheers Roy. I'll give that a go, using my old bonnet first to see how well my masking works.
Happy modelling
