Your right there Derek about the work, the main thing with this was to try and keep the same curve all round, and that can only be achieved by sanding down to a knife edge and continuous checking. Thanks for turning the pages.

Trev.

Thanks for looking Al, had a problem when assembling the length beams when cutting clefts on the two suspension stabilizers, I slipped and ran off chipping the wood,so I have had to scratch build three more to match.

Lovely work Trev, all looking good and really taking that classic stagecoach shape now with your external ribbing, which will look impressive when you've added the outer skins.

Well done mate, nice job. Cool ThumpUp

Hi all,

Just a quick update on progress I have finished fitting 1x5mm outer beams and shaping, also removing the sharp edges this will give a bulging effect ready for the dark outer wood more soon.

Thanks for looking

Hi Guy's,

Thank you for looking in.

@ Kev Sometimes I get so involved it becomes hard to keep neat and tidy.

@ Spal Moving on now not only with coach work but also with the suspension.

@ Ken looking forward to building the outer wood which will be a high polish.

@ Mark this build is so well thought out that I have a job to stop building it's so different.

Regards Trev.

update:17.3.19

With the dark wood 1.5 mm I have added back and front following the fitting order as shown in my photo above, then to sand down with a fine grain sand paper until the surface is smooth and uniform.

Then cut pieces from 0.6x30 sheet to line the exterior part of the curved wall, I used a brush to spread the glue over the entire walls, once the glue had dried I cut away all the surplus edges and sanded down leaving entire surface smooth and even, having reached this point I intend to polish the wood.

Regards

Trev.
