Stage 84 Contents: Wooden Strips, Brackets, Eyebolts, Cannon, Cannon Carriage and Wheels.
Retrieve the ladders supplied with stage 82 and remove one of the two ST1 ladders from the fret. Fold the two sides in until they are at right angles to the central section, then carefully bed the steps of the central section up, aligning them with the notches inside the two sides. Cut eight 8mm lengths from the 0.5x5mm wooden strips supplied with stage 82 and glue them onto the steps of the ladders. Repeat the process to assemble a second ladder ST1, an ST3 ladder and two ST2 ladders.
Separate the cannon carriage components from the fret, smooth the edges of all the parts and paint them black. The assembly of the carriage is the same as that outlined in Stage 9 so will not be repeated here. Remove any imperfections from the barrel of the cannon then apply a coat of metal primer and leave to dry. Paint the cannon with a bronze colour (No RAL Code) then store the cannon and the assembled carriage until needed again. Stage 85 Contents: Single Blocks, Double Blocks, Eyebolts, Brown Thread and Natural Thread.
Cut a 50mm length of 0.15mm natural thread and make a loop in the centre of it. Now cut a 100mm length of natural thread and then check all the holes in the blocks are clear. Tie the 50mm length of thread around the block and to one end of the 100mm length. The hole in the block should be nearest the loop. Fix the knot with a little glue and then cut off the excess from the 50mm length. Tie the short section of the 100mm length around the knot and apply a little glue if necessary. Cut off the excess leaving the single long length. Cut a second 50mm piece of natural thread and tie a loop in the centre of it. Tie the line around a double block with the loop positioned nearest the holes. Apply glue to the knot to secure if necessary, then cut away the excess. Take the line from the single block and pass it through one of the holes in the double block, leaving a distance of 10mm between the blocks. Pass the line back through the hole in the single block then take the line and feed it through the second hole in the double block. Wrap the line around the lines between the two blocks and secure with a knot. Cut away the excess line up to the knot, then take two eyebolts, open the eyes at the end of each and hook around the block loops, then close the eyes. Repeat these steps to assemble a total of 28 gun tackles.
Cut an 80mm length of brown thread and pass one end through the eye of an eyebolt. Fold the end of the line back on itself by 3mm, applying a small drop of glue may help to hold it in position. Now cut a 40mm length of natural thread and tie it around the doubled line, close to the eye. Wrap the 40mm length of thread around the doubled line, tie off the line and cut of the excess at either end. Attach an eyebolt to the other end of the brown thread in the same way. This is known as the breeching. Repeat these steps to assemble a total of 14 breechings.
Each of the cannons on the decks will require two gun tackles and one breeching.
This stage is now complete. Carefully store any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.Gandale attached the following image(s):

Stage 86 Contents: Gallery Parts and Decorations.
Draw a line in the middle of the false keel at the bow. Retrieve the 0.5x4mm wooden strip from stage 84, cut two lengths and glue either side of the line you just marked. Continue to cut and glue strips to cover the area at the bow then trim the ends of the strips. Cut a length of 0.5x5mm wooden strip (stage 84) to fit between the uprights then glue the strip in place, up against the stepped uprights. Cut and shape another strip to fit between the strip you just added and the cross beam above, glue the strip in place. Prepare another strip to fit above the cross beam, glue it into place up against the uprights, flush with the step. Prepare and glue a further two lengths of strip against the stepped uprights. Each strip should overlap the one below slightly because of the angled steps. Now cut and glue two strips to the uprights on either side of the deck. Place the strips between the stepped uprights and the bulwarks, fitting them flush with the steps. Prepare and glue a further four strips on each side, overlapping each strip.
Cut two 90mm lengths of 0.5x5mm strips. Glue one strip onto the other along its length, overlapping by 1mm and leave to dry fully. When dry, cut it to fit between the two door frames of the quarterdeck. Cut more of the strips and glue them between the door frames and the bulwarks on either side. Now cut the strips in line with the top of the deck.
This stage is now complete. Carefully store any unused parts in a stage labelled bag. Gandale attached the following image(s):

Stage 87 Contents: Gallery Parts and Decorations. Cut the ends of the stakes flush with the forward edge of frame 2 on both sides of the hull then sand smooth. Now cut a length of 0.5x5mm wooden strip to fit around the curved bulkhead at the bow, the ends of the strip should be flush with the front of frame 2. Now cut a second length of strip to fit around the bow with the ends flush with frame 2 then glue it into place.
Prepare a third strip to fit around the bow and glue it flush with the top of the deck, leaving a gap between it and the strip previously fitted. Cut a piece of strip to fit in the gap created between the strips and glue it into place. Use a fine sanding block to smooth the strips covering the bulkhead, taking care not to sand through the thin strips.
Retrieve decorations C68a, C68b, C68c, C68d, C68g, C68h, C68j and C68k supplied with stage 80 and remove any burrs or flash. Apply a coat of metal primer to them and leave to dry. Store decorations C68b, C68g, C68h, C68j and C68k in a bag labelled Stage 80.
