Please could you help me?. I would like any information on how the entre ports were close for going to sea. The model has them open, I think they would not have a opening in the side of ship when going to sea or in a battle.

Hi Gary! I didn't think it would be so difficult to find a photo of the entry port doors closed - every single one is of them open! All I can give you is a shot of my own DelPrado Victory still under construction which has the entry port provided as a single metal casting with the doors closed! It appears to be a two-part door which opens inboard but even the two reference books don't show the actual doors, just the doorway. Hope this helps! Robin. thank you for the help of the entre port. I have a good idea of how they went, they must of used the same technology as the upper bow gun port which used two door as a opening.
