Hi,

I have recently finished R2 but he will not power on. On my first attempt he did move forward and turn his head to the right about 2 inches. Afer this all I could get were the LEDs to light up by holding down the power button. On checking eveything over I now have no power. I have checked the voltage across the power pack and it reads zero, I even took the back off and checked the power from the soldering point, still zero.

Before I order a new power pack case can you confirm my batteries are indeed the correct type - link below. PS all batteries have been fully charged and are showing 4.1v accross the terminals, I also made sure they were installed correctly and that the batteries made contact with the springs etc in the box.

New Battery box arrived. I have refitted the batteries and gone through the initialisation process then turned R2 on but I have the same issue as before. If I hold the power on button the front and back LED's light up but nothing else, no movement or other lights turn on. Any idea what the issue might be or what I can check now?

Checked the voltage from the battery box and it reads 12.31v so that is ok.

As suggested I checked the motor head wire (short one with 6 wires) and it is fitted correctly.

Can anyone suggest anything else to try?

Took all wiring out and rewired, ended up with the same issue (only LEDs will come on if the power button is held down).

I have reordered issue 94...

Fitted new MCU. Turned R2 on and he jumped forward then nothing. If I press the power button I get the same issue as before (head LEDs light up)!

So I now suspect the head motor, is there a way to test it?

I also have a sinking feeling that the MCU might also be damamged now...
