Another mountain of dismantling and I'm working on the engine bay walls. I'm amazed at how basic and toy-like this model actually is. They started out as literally plain, matt black plastic moulded panels. Lots of Aston Martin reference later, and two walls are looking a bit better... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

The engine bay is just about sorted, so on we go with the actual engine next... Light at the end of the tunnel, as they say. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Thanks Al. I decided to leave the engine end for a while and change the rear wheels. Taking the kit ones off the axle was a nightmare. Anyway, one wheel replaced now... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Well here we are - all finished and ready to go to the owner. Full leather interior trim, carpets, engine detailed to a greater degree, new 'proper' wire wheels etc etc... A new project on the burner. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

The wheels are much improved over the kit ones. How did you make them? Were they borrowed from another 1/8 kit?

Thanks chaps. No - the wheels aren't from another kit. They are hand made...
Roy.

Many thanks Ken.
I didn't post many updates as it's an old part work and I think everyone has seen it before.

Back to the Porsche shortly - I've got a little pile of E Type wheels to build, and a Porsche Carrera interior to leather trim first.
