So, I'm about to receive my last delivery of issues. My youngest daughter and I are planning a session of a few days to build R2 together, and I'll obviously need batteries for it.

Given that, nearly six months after being told DeAg would have an offer on "official" batteries, we've had absolutely nothing, can someone please point me at the right batteries that fit correctly, for purchase here in the UK?

I've tried to keep up with the sagas of this specific type being the worst DeAg could have chosen since they are all made in different ways, but at the end of the day, I find myself being unable to determine which ones actually are the right ones.

DeAg have long since dropped the ball on this, and I'll never buy another partwork from them because of it, I'm just hoping I can finish this model and then go... :-)

Any specific links would be welcome - did I see one for someone who knew they were for R2 and guaranteed them, or something?

Thanks for your help all,
Ian

Sorry Ian didn’t notice that, just checked they have these Battery’s in stock, they are the same spec as the others just a different make but are listed as for use with R2-D2

Bless you Shaun, that's awesome of you. Ecolux also responded to my email, suggesting the same Ampsplus model as being their own make, and more suitable for R2 because it's not quite as high drain as the Samsung kind!

Together with the discount code ("r2d2") for 10% off, I'm absolutely chuffed with that.

Ordered now, I'm really pleased.

Thanks for you help, mate!
