Hi, I am looking for someone (I will pay for this service) to assemble the wheels for my E-Type as I am unable to complete this task.

Hi BAM,

You don't say why you cannot build the wheels yourself but it is a shame to hand over part of your model build to someone else, if you can manage, there is a terrific sense of achievement in your own work.

Building the wheels requires patience and time but when they are done, boy do they look good.

Give it a try!

There are several ways you can build these wheels, and they are all correct as Jaguar used many different wheel suppliers.

The kit suggests a '3 cross' pattern for the lower sets of spokes.
A '2 cross' pattern is far easier and is perfectly correct.

Also, the kit suggests the upper two sets of spokes - the ones most people have some difficulty with - should feed down into the diamond shape near to the hub, formed by the other sets of spokes.

Have a look through some of the wheel build tutorials here and you'll see what I mean.

The simplest method of all which is still perfectly correct, is to feed the upper sets of spokes through the larger spaces nearer the rim, as shown in the attached pics.

All of these methods work and are 'correct'.
