How to connect from outside the house? Options

Hello I would like to know if you can connect to R2 from outside the house from work for example, I have tried but it does not work, I thought that with the local wifi could connect to the router but I see no.

sadly i dont think it is possible. i believe you have to have your device connected to the same network for the connection to work

it would be a very worthwhile feature but the programming lacks the ability to allow it. imo the programming is very poor, and for them to tell us that the firmware can not be updated if bugs are found (of which there are many) is very poor indeed. the voice recognition is garbage, the face recognition doesnt work at all, there is a microphone yet its incapable of recording sound on videos, the list of issues goes on. yet nothing seems to be getting passed on to the dev team to fix. its certainly not what was promised 2 years ago.

It was originally advertised that they would have this as a feature, and there's even a 2 year old sticky that says they won't be charging to use it once the first three years are up. But I don't see any way to do it now.
