Hi All, Been working on the cabin the last couple of days. I soaked the rear wall in water then wrapped it around an aerosol tin and allowed to dry. This enabled it to maintain a curved shape. I covered it with left-over planking strips and scribed lines on the inside. Followed the same colour scheme as mentioned earlier. I’m not sure if I am going to frost the windows as I did on the front wall. It might be nice to view the inside, through the windows once the lights are on. Hi All, Worked on some accessories this weekend. I like to batch jobs, so I worked on the barrels, crates, & food supplied in issue 60-90. (Except the launch) Assembled the Capstan, Jacks Table, Chair and Map cabinet. Painted black and dry brushed grey. On second thoughts, the map cabinet looked a little lean, I added some coffee stirrers to cover the joints. It also added some depth. The capstan also received a bit of chain – just to add some interest. I primed and painted all the cast parts. I’m not going to list all the colours, but essentially primed with black etch primer, airbrushed base colours, black ink wash followed by a dry brush of the main colour. Hi Mark, Thanks for the kind remarks. I fitted the two smaller guns that reside in Jacks cabin. Once in, I glued in the roof beams. Now for my bright idea. Hope it doesn’t prove to be famous last words!!!  My intention is to glue the Quarter deck to the side walls only (Not the beams or ribs) and carefully cut around the bay window roofs to remove the deck portion once dry. This will give me the opportunity to complete the exterior whilst I think about the lighting inside the cabin. Perhaps I’m over-complicating things, time will tell.
