Having checked every Countach online I could find, I'm pretty sure the factory ignition coils for all years/makes were Magneti Marelli ones---I could find exact models for the Quattrovalvole, but it uses a single one rather than the dual coils of older models. Best guess I've got, based one the few pics of ones that appear to still have their factory (or non-recent replacements) is this: https://milano.bakeca.it...elli-bk3a-9duz171261386

It's about the only MM coil that is overall silver with a black tip like the model has, with predominantly blue stickers like I can see in a few pics of older-coil Countachs. (Silver stickers with blue lettering is probably equally likely, from looking around---yellow stickers with black lettering seems to be more 60's). Black stickers wth silver letting is also a possibility. But Magneti Marelli seems to have used the same logo and general wording/pattern on their Ferrari/Fiat/Lancia/Lambo coils for decades, just changing color combinations every couple years.

I've also repainted umpteen parts, filled/covered numerous screw holes and tried to 'lose' any ultimately visible fixings - so far...

This one really is an amazing kit. It must be just about DeAg's BEST.

Hello there.
My ignition LT leads from the coil also group together with the wires from the alternator.
They all go into a loom made from heat-shrink tube that runs under the air box and around the front of the wheel arch under the fan.

The air pipes are wrapped with thin strips of surgical fabric tape, pre-coloured black with a marker pen..

This is an AMAZING kit.
This one is a commission build for someone but I'm tempted to get it for myself.

Getting the front on was tricky. The paint on the posts make it a tight squeeze. I had success removing the doors, putting the front section on the body and then adding the doors back. How is the fit of the doors with the rest of the body panels? Mine took some fiddling to get it lined up.

I know it was a few steps ago but I am amazed by your leather work! All the curves/corners are pretty tight and difficult to get material around. Also cutting the seats to leather and then reassemble is a great idea. I am really enjoying following your work

Yes, the doors aren't a 'superb' fit.

No matter how much I tried, I couldn't get them any closer at the top/front.
It seems as if the actual front wings of the model are about 1mm too short at the top flat surface.
Also, keeping the doors closed takes a few attempts at careful closing but the model will very likely be posed in a display case with one or both doors open anyway.

Well...
Wheels are now on, lower side sills added.

Wheel arch extensions. Sadly, the worst fitting part on the whole kit.
Maybe mine were a bit warped from being in a full kit package for a while, but they just don't attach.

The plastic locating pegs on the arch trims are just too short, and not 'fat' enough.
Push one in place and when you try to attach the next one, the first one pops out again.

I've resorted to super-gluing each few pegs.
With the leading edge of the trims nice and tight, the rear ends are at least 5mm adrift of the body.
When it's all secure at the front, I'll turn the car over, pull the rear of the trims tight into place, tape them down and run cyano around the join.
Fingers crossed...
