Good evening from 'The Dockyard'. Just a short update this week due to the extended Easter weekend. This week I finished off the lower guard rails on the port side of the lower deck of the conning tower and then concentrated on adding the protective mesh to the lower half of the starboard side guard rails. I stripped a very thin piece of electrical wire of it's insulation and then unwound each strand so that I could use each of these strands to wrap around the vertical guard rail supports. By twisting them so that they pulled the mesh in tight to the vertical supports and thus required no glue. Pretty fiddly work, but now I have a technique, I aim to complete the rest of the mesh by my next update. Well that's it for this week. Just a short update due to the long weekend. As I mentioned before, now I have a technique for fixing the mesh, which did take time to figure out, I hope to make better progress next week and complete the rest of the safety mesh. By twisting the wire strands over and over, they really pull the mesh in tight to the vertical guard rail supports.
