Hello all,

Well, I've been crazily busy at work over the past month or more and had very little serious modelling time, just a few snatched moments here and there, so wasn't able to complete my build in time for the competition deadline …. but …. as the competition now seems to have been declared invalid that is all irrelevant!?

However, as the Tornado has always been one of my favourite jets, I still want to continue with my build and to get this finished as a tribute to the great RAF fighter that has now sadly been retired.

So, the build diary continues. Things have moved on apace since my last update to the point where I have now got it looking more like a complete aircraft rather than a lot of sub-assemblies. Apologies for the big jump, it's not ideal I know, but I just didn't have time to post photos, so just kept building little bits as and when I could and ended up here!

I'll let the photos show what has been done.

Thanks for looking, all comments and criticisms welcomed. ThumpUp

Many thanks Alan, Walter, Mark, Andy and Trev, for looking in on my build and for your nice comments always greatly appreciated.

@ Trev - Yeah, totally agree mate, one of my favourites too and one of THE most awesome aircraft ever to fly with the RAF and that is why I intend to finish this build however long it takes.

More updates to follow. Cool ThumpUp

Hello all,

Not an update on my Tornado build as such, I just thought that, as it's relevant to this build, I'd show a painting of a pair of Tornadoes from 31 Sqdn RAF Marham that I did back in 2004 for my nephew who was and still is, in the RAF. The painting is 'oil on board'.

Hope that you like it.
