Ive been quite busy on the build and managed to plank upto the bowformers and this where ive hit a problem perhaps im wrong....

On the offical build video which i have followed shows 11 planks up from the bottom of the lower deck to the bowformer this is the first picture...
The one below the i call 0(zero as it is below the deck)

The second picture shows my victory but from the lower deck upto the bowformers its only 10 planks...
The one below the lower deck i call 0(zero as it is below the deck)..

Help is appreciated to where i have gone wrong....
TBH i didnt see it as an issue until looked again at the video...
Planking as gone better than i expected...

If i have to remove the planks and start again i will do but it jave to be so carefully as not to damage any of the deck edges and the ribs..

That all looks very nice so far.

Its amazing just how much build time there is in one of these models - certainly plenty to keep the hours flashing by.

Hope it all continues well for you.

Tony

This looks all very neat!

In my opinion there is no problem - every build is slightly different and you don`t have to stick to the words or in this case the number of planks every time.

As long as there are no gaps and the planks run in a natural curve - as is the case here - everything`s fine!

Keep up the good work!
Greetings,
Walter

I think it all looks very good and very neat work throughout... You would be surprised at the variances you will find in the width of planks, they are at least 5mm wide and some can be as wide as 5.2mm and these small variances can add up as you lay more rows, this is part of the reason why all builds are slightly different. Important thing here is ensuring the first row of planks you lay is exactly where the instructions say and from there all of your markings are set correctly. With what I see I would carry on as you're doing but would suggest you post pics a little more often, this gives us the chance to spot anything that may cause you problems later in the build.... Looking good, very well done....Cool Cool

Alan
