I've been keelhauled!!! Offers for those newies wishing to take advantage of building Victory for the first time are gaining four free offers including a tool kit! I had to buy all of mine, and I'm retired on a fixed income, buying Victory faithfully every week (now on issue #69) and buying my tools from whatever modelling stockists I can, including on-line. Not fair!! Someone ought to be strung up on the yardarm!

To be honest the tools are not that great. You'd be better off buying your own which you probably will anyway, since you will need more than is in the toolbox.

Hughie1. i subscribed and got the took kit and all i have used from it is the small pair of cutters and the files. Have found along the way in the build that you need to buy more tools to get the job done. I know this is of no help in your predicament but we all in the same boat, parden the pun.
regards
Foz

hughie1...I'm in a similar position...I source my tools through my local hardware store dealer, who is a mine of information and can lay his hands on almost everything that I want and at a cheaper price too...If I haven't got a specific tool to hand, I improvise...modelling poses many problems, solving them can be kind of, well, fun!! Plus being disabled, modelling is the best therapy anyone can have... Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

Hi I am one of those new builders who have been offered the extras such as tool sets While i am sure that was nice of them to offer, if i havent got the tools already to build this level 4 build then perhaps i should have tried an easier build than £600 + this kit is going to cost. What is of more concern to me it where have the build logs got to? i can't find them

Hi Rob Bees Finding the build diaries! Go to the bottom of the page where it says 'FORUM JUMP', and click on the drop-down arrow. Scroll down to 'MEMBERS SHIP BUILD DIARIES', and find the sub-heading 'HMS VICTORY BUIL DIARIES' Hope this helps and welcome to the forum. Happy building Daffy09
